The task of topic tracking is to monitor a stream of stories and find all subsequent stories that discuss the same topic. Using Bayesian belief network we give three topic tracking models: a static topic model BSTM and two dynamic topic models BDTM-I, BDTM-II. BDTM-II merges the advantages of BSTM and BDTM-I, has better tracking performance than the former two, and effectively alleviates topic drift phenomenon. Applying unrelated coming stories to update BDTM-I and BDTM-II can filter noises existed in topics. Experiments on TDT corpora show that BSTM decreases (Cdet)norm by 5.5% comparing to VSM, BDTM-II decreases (Cdet)norm by 6.3% and 6.0% comparing to BSTM and BDTM-I respectively, using unrelated stories can improve the tracking performance.  相似文献

The palladacycle‐catalyzed esterification of a variety of aldehydes with alcohols was developed. This reaction allows formation of esters in moderate to excellent yields not only for various aldehydes but also alcohols. Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) was used as a virtual stationary phase to separate p‐xylene, benzyl alcohol, and p‐methylphenol by the chromatographic NMR technique. The effects of concentration and weight‐average molecular weight (Mw) of PVP, solvent viscosity, solvent polarity, and sample temperature on the resolution of these components were investigated. It was found that both higher PVP concentration and higher PVP Mw caused the increase of diffusion resolution for the three components. Moreover, the diffusion resolution did not change at viscosity‐higher solvents. Moreover, the three components showed different resolution at different solvents. As temperature increased, the diffusion resolution between p‐xylene and benzyl alcohol gradually increased, and the one between p‐xylene and p‐methylphenol slightly increased from 278 to 298 K and then decreased above 298 K. It was also found that the polarity of the analytes played an important role for the separation by affecting the diffusion coefficient. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Huo Luo Xiao Ling Dan (HLXLD), a Chinese herbal formula composed of 11 different herbs, has been used traditionally for the treatment of arthritis and other chronic inflammatory diseases. However, the pharmacokinetic profile of its anti‐inflammatory bioactive compounds has not been elucidated. Boswellic acids are the bioactive compounds with potent anti‐inflammatory activity isolated from Boswellia serrate which is one of the 11 herbs of HLXLD. The objective of the study was to compare the pharmacokinetics of the two bioactive bowsellic acids: 11‐keto‐β‐boswellic acid and 3‐O‐acetyl‐11‐keto‐β‐boswellic following oral administration of HLXLD or Boswellia serrata extract alone in normal and arthritic rats. An LC‐MS method was developed and validated for the determination of 11‐keto‐β‐boswellic acid and 3‐O‐acetyl‐11‐keto‐β‐boswellic in the comparative pharmacokinetic study. The results showed that there were significant differences in pharmacokinetic parameters between normal and arthritic groups. Interestingly, the absorptions of two boswellic acids were significantly higher in HLXLD than Boswellia serrata extract alone, indicating the synergistic effect of other herbal ingredients in HLXLD. This comparative pharmacokinetic study provided direct evidence supporting the notion that the efficacy of a complex mixture such as HLXLD is better than that of single components in treating human diseases. Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas has a quite high global warming potential and hence it is required that applying any substitute for SF6 gas. Much interest in the use of a mixture of helium and SF6 as arc quenching medium were investigated indicating a high performance of arc interruption. The calculated values of transport coefficients of mixtures of SF6–He mixtures, at high temperatures are presented in this paper: to the knowledge of the authors, related data have not been reported in the literature. The species composition and thermodynamic properties are determined by the method of Gibbs free energy minimization, using standard thermodynamic tables. The transport properties including electron diffusion coefficients, viscosity, thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, are evaluated by using the Chapman–Enskog method expanded up to the third-order approximation (second-order for viscosity). Particular attention is paid to the collision integral database by the use of the most accurate and recent cross-sections or interaction potentials available in the literature. The calculations, which assume local thermodynamic equilibrium, are performed in the temperature range from 300 to 30,000 K for different pressures between 0.1 and 16 atm. An evaluation of the current interruption performance by adding He into SF6 is discussed from a microscopic point of view. The properties with regard to SF6–He mixtures calculated here are expected to be reliable because of the improved collision integrals employed.  相似文献

Copulas offer a useful tool in modelling the dependence among random variables. In the literature, most of the existing copulas are symmetric while data collected from the real world may exhibit asymmetric nature. This necessitates developing asymmetric copulas that can model such data. In the meantime, existing methods of modelling two-dimensional reliability data are not able to capture the tail dependence that exists between the pair of age and usage, which are the two dimensions designated to describe product life. This paper proposes a new method of constructing asymmetric copulas, discusses the properties of the new copulas, and applies the method to fit two-dimensional reliability data that are collected from the real world.  相似文献

A four-dimensional hyperchaotic system with five parameters is proposed. Its dynamical properties such as dissipativity, equilibrium points, Lyapunov exponent, Lyapunov dimension, bifurcation diagrams and Poincare maps are analyzed theoretically and numerically. Theoretical analyses and simulation tests indicate that the new system's dynamics behavior can be periodic attractor, chaotic attractor and hyperchaotic attractor as the parameter varies. Finally, the circuit of this new hyperchaotic system is designed and realized by Multisim software. The simulation results confirm that the chaotic system is different from the existing chaotic systems and is a novel hyperchaotic system. The system is recommendable for many engineering applications such as information processing, cryptology, secure communications, etc.  相似文献
